Antistatic treatment for cool roomsMould build-up is common in refrigerators and cool rooms that have cold metallic surfaces. Mould is detrimental for refrigeration energy performance in that it inhibits proper operation of refrigeration heat exchangers (evaporators and condensers). This decreases refrigeration performance and increases energy consumption.

The traditional solution to this problem is cleaning of mould through the use of oil based cleaning agents. Although this method is effective in immediately removing mould and grime, it is not effective in preventing subsequent build-up of mould.

Blue Green Engineering proposes a more effective solution with the use of antistatic treatment. This service actively removes mould from evaporators and condensers and improves the heat transfer coefficient of the equipment. Independent tests have shown that in some cases it is possible to improve cool room efficiency by 20%. The service has a 24-month written warranty that assures the client that no mould will build up on the evaporator, fans and condensers within that period. 

Night covers for operating refrigerators

Various types of covers exist and may be used to insulate operating refrigerators during periods when businesses are shut. Night covers are ideal for insulating glass display fridges and ice cream freezers. They are low cost, easy to fit and save a lot of energy.  Night covers can achieve substantial energy savings.

Refrigeration insulation covers or pull covers

These are ideal for open display fridges and are easily installed. In most cases, they can be fitted into place very easily through the use of magnetic attachments. During the day they retract to be concealed. Unlike most available products, our refrigeration pull covers are made from a material that combines aluminium and polymer. This material is not prone to absorbing moisture, is very durable and does not swell, thus making insulation more effective.
