Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning Systems

HVAC systems are responsible for conditioning a building’s internal air space. In many types of buildings and facilities, HVAC systems are major consumers of energy. HVAC energy consumption can be reduced through energy efficiency measures that first aim to optimise HVAC controls. In cases where equipment has reached the end of its life, energy efficiency measures can include replacement of existing HVAC systems with new more efficient ones.

At Blue Green Engineering, we provide innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption without compromising the comfort levels of the occupants. All of our HVAC energy efficiency measures may be incorporated with other energy efficiency measures such as energy efficient lighting, refrigeration and renewable energy systems.

Our air-conditioning energy saving measures include:

  • Air-conditioning control system setup: it is common that air-conditioning systems have inappropriate control system set-up. Potential energy savings are significant, even in buildings that may be considered energy efficient.
  • Replacement of obsolete analogue air-conditioning controls with a new Building Management System (BMS), which substantially reduces energy   consumption.
  • Maintenance: bad maintenance procedures are largely responsible for HVAC energy waste. Blue Green Engineering can help businesses maintain their HVAC systems properly through relatively inexpensive maintenance services.

Blue Green Engineering can also provide partial or total replacement of existing HVAC systems with one of the following novel applications or systems:

  • Radiant slab heating/cooling
  • Space heating using solar hot water systems via the floor, fancoil units or radiators
  • Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems
  • Inverter splits (single units)
  • Inverter multi-split systems
  • VRF systems
  • Chilled water systems
  • Packaged air-conditioning units (normally ducted)
  • Conversion of inefficient constant air volume air conditioning systems to  variable air volume air-conditioning systems, which are responsive to indoor use and environmental conditions.

For our VRF, split and multi-split product offerings, we collaborate with Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning systems, which have excellent after-sales service and are very energy efficient, cost-effective and of high build quality.
